Chipotle Pecan Sauce

Chipotle pecan sauce is sweet, spicy, nutty, vegan, and oil-free


Units Scale
  • 1 cup of pecans
  • 1/2 to 1 chipotle depending on the hotness. Seed the chipotle.
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 12 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 11.5 cups of water


  1. Lightly toast pecans in a pan
  2. Pour the water into a high-speed blender
  3. Start with a half of a chipotle pepper (they vary in spiciness). Remove the seeds if there are any. You can always add more to make it spicier later
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend
  5. Taste and add more syrup, chipotles, or water
