Description

Rich, creamy Russian dressing is fabulous on a salad, Reuben sandwich, or Vegan BLT.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 medium size pickles of your choice
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 3/41 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened ketchup
  • If you like a kick add 1/2 teaspoon of horseradish and a clove of minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Chop the pickles in the mini-chopper or food processor
  2. Warm sesame seeds in a pan, barely toast
  3. Put ¾ cup of water into high-speed blender. Add the toasted sesame seeds. Blend until smooth. Add more water if needed. You don’t want this to be too thick. It should easily pour out of the blender
  4. Pour the sesame seed mixture from the blender to the chopper/food processor in with the pickles, add ketchup and blend until fully combined
  5. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in horseradish and garlic if using. Start with a ¼ teaspoon of horseradish and add to taste
