Description
Just the way you would expect cornbread to taste but without all the butter, eggs, and oil. This pairs perfectly with my chili recipe.

- 1 cup of organic cornmeal
- 1 cup of oat flour (or flour of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 cup of oat milk (or plant milk of your choice)
- 1/4 cup of applesauce
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup of maple syrup
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees. No need to grease a pan. I use an 8”x8” glass Pyrex or a round one
- In a large bowl mix together the cornmeal, flour, and baking powder
- Add the oat milk, applesauce, and maple syrup
- Pour into the pan and cook for 12-15 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a knife or toothpick that comes out clean
Notes
This is fantastic with chili, salad, or by itself with a little jam!
