This photo was taken on my 53rd birthday. If you would have told me back in 2015 that I would not only reverse my heart disease, but lose 20 pounds, grow younger, healthier, lower my blood pressure, and feel better than ever by eating a whole-food, plant-based diet, I would have laughed.
But here I am. I love this way of eating because I know it’s my true health insurance. I no longer have to wonder why I’m always battling vanity pounds. I know I won’t age like my mom and be on oxygen, a walker, and take ten medications when I’m in my 70’s.
